Porntip questions police action against protesters

Ministry's Central Institute of Forensic Science director Porntip Rojanasunan on Monday questioned the police about the crowd dispersal on October 7, which led to almost 500 injuries and twodead.

She believed there were more than two people who cammanded the crowd dispersal and raised five questions:

1. Why were there police in many locations?

2. How did the police procure the weapons and tear gas?

3. Had the police been properly trained to use weapons and tear gas?

4. Why did the police fire about a hundred shotsof tear gas?

5. Why did the police disperse the group of protesters in the evening again?
